Larsen & Toubro Secured Orders Worth Rs 15.93 Billion

The multinational firm has recently been into real estate investing news for bagging huge orders worth Rs 1,593 crore. This is specifically for the Water & Effluent Treatment and Buildings & Factories Business. The EPC order is from the Udaipur Smart City Ltd. for Integrated Infrastructure package of the ABD area in Udaipur City. It is known to be the first of its kind brownfield project for developing smart infrastructure within the premises of the city.

The work includes designing, rehabilitation and upgradation of the 24×7 running water supply arrangement. One similar order has been secured from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation sector of Odisha to provide water supply to the various inner districts in Odisha like Badampa, Narasingpur, Balikuda, Naugaon blocks of Cuttack, Erasma and Jagatsinghpur districts as well. It also has provisions for Water Treatment Plant, Power Distribution Network, Sewerage Network covering the relaying of roads, underground cables for power & telecom, storm water drains, other allied instrumentation works and utility ducts.

The work for design & construction of Industrial Effluent Pumping Stations, Master Balancing Reservoir – Recycled Water and Pumping Station, Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) in Dholera, Gujarat has been awarded to the Dholera Industrial City Development Limited.

The Buildings & Factories has secured an order of Rs 535 cr from a reputed IT major company for the construction of an IT park in Hyderabad. It will also concentrate on the construction of four office towers that are having connected corridors and a common three-level basement parking. These are to be completed within strict timelines. The work also has scopes for MEP, civil, finishes and external development.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd., more commonly known as L&T, has seen a rise of 4.7% YoY to Rs2.71 lakh cr the order book at the end of the third quarter of the FY18. The infrastructure section saw a growth of 3% YoY to Rs1.99 lakh cr by the end of Q3FY18. L&T is well placed and will definitely benefit from the development in the investment cycle.

The Indian Capital expenditure might pick-up, led by the resolution of bad debt, capacity utilization and recovery of demand. If resources are to be believed then the company is currently trading at Rs1,320.35 from its earlier closing of Rs 1,319.10 on the BSE.
